KausaniShawl Story

Kausani Shawl is more than just a brand it’s a journey rooted in passion and tradition. Our story began with a simple yet powerful idea from our founder: to keep the art of handloom weaving alive while empowering local artisans in the beautiful hills of Kausani.Years ago, our founder saw that the rich heritage of Kumaoni craftsmanship was slowly fading away. He took it upon himself to bring it back to life by starting small with a handful of skilled weavers who shared the same love for this art. And so, with a handful of skilled weavers, we started creating shawls that were warm and beautiful and carried the essence of Kumaon in every thread. The years passed, and our work multiplied. From the shawls to the Pahadi topis and jackets, everything was made with the same amount of love and dedication. To us, it’s not just about creating woolen products; it’s about telling the story of tradition, culture, and the working hands that come together to create it all.Today, Kausani Shawl is a mark of quality and heritage, bringing people closer to the heart of the mountains. Every product we make is a piece of our history, our pride, and our commitment to keeping this art alive. We invite you to be part of our journey. When you choose Kausani Shawl, you are not just buying a product; you are supporting a tradition, a community, and a dream that started in the hills of Kumaon.
